LOCATION: New York, NY (Upper West Side, 1/B/C trains)

SALARY: $35/hour

CHILDREN: young baby & toddler

START DATE: February/March 2025

SCHEDULE

Monday - Friday (hours will vary, usually 7:30 or 8am to 5pm or 6pm; but sometimes start later or stay later
minimum 40-hour week
optional additional weekend hours available if desired (not required)

DRIVING REQUIRED: NO

TRAVEL REQUIRED: travel to Connecticut sometimes with family

PETS: 1 cat (hypoallergenic, will NOT cause allergies)

DUTIES

monitor and follow schedule and routine, including nap and sleep time
set boundaries for kids (provide structure in a respectful, firm, yet kind manner)
age-appropriate play & learning activities (including "tummy time" with baby, reading storybooks, singing & nursery rhymes, indoor/outdoor play and educational games)
help arrange playdates with other nannies and nearby families, and take to/from park, activities and classes
children's laundry
help with family meal/snack preparation
light housekeeping when not caregiving

REQUIREMENTS

experience caring for infants, toddlers and pre-school age kids
HIGH ENERGY (physically fit to go up and down stairs, confident caring for two kids in home)
enjoys games and educational activities with baby & toddler
ok with flexible work schedule (family will give as much advance notice)
comfortable with cat in home (hypoallergenic, will not trigger allergies!)
competent English speaker
willing to get screenings/immunizations as directed (TDaP, MMR, seasonal flu)
CPR-trained or willing to receive training
takes direction well & communicates openly
