DUTIES

compassionate, responsible care for 4 year-old boy and 6 year-old girl (older child has special needs)
age-appropriate play & learning activities (help kids with basic schoolwork)
school drop off & pick up; take kids to/from park, activities and classes
light daily housekeeping
family laundry
meal/snack preparation for kids and family
food shopping and other light household management

‌‌REQUIREMENTS

experience caring for school-age kids
highly organized and energetic
good English speaker & able to help with basic schoolwork
travel with family to the Hamptons (typically August) and other locations with additional pay for overnight
takes direction well & communicates openly with parents
seeking a long-term position with family
remain flexible as schedule changes depending on family's work schedule

REIMBURSEMENT

$30/hour
10 paid vacation/personal days (half selected by employer, half by employee), 5 paid sick days and major public holidays paid days off
monthly MetroCard reimbursed or paid by employer
paid 52-weeks/year (i.e. paid when not needed such as during family vacation)
