LOCATION: Brooklyn, NY (Brooklyn Heights, near R/2/3/4/5 trains)

SALARY: $1,500/week

CHILDREN: infant, 3 & 5 year old (most care is for baby! older kids in school until 4pm)

START DATE: April 2025

SCHEDULE

NOTE: nanny can work Mon-Fri or Sun-Thur if preferred.

DUTIES

compassionate, responsible care for newborn, 3 & 5 year-old kids (most care for is for baby; the older kids are in school most of day) (e.g. bathing, changing, bottle preparation & feeding, potty training, maintaining sleep/nap schedule)

age-appropriate play & learning activities (including "tummy time" for infant, reading storybooks, singing & nursery rhymes, indoor/outdoor play and educational games)
help arrange playdates (with other nannies and nearby families) and take to/from park, activities and classes
children's laundry
meal/snack preparation for kids
light housekeeping when not caregiving (help keep home organized and tidy, grocery shopping and errands)

REQUIREMENTS

experience caring for infants, toddlers and school-age kids (comfortable with multiple children in home but nanny will spend most of day with baby only)
punctual (arrive/leave on time)
able to travel with family (1 week in summer)
competent English speaker
willing to get screenings/immunizations as directed
comfortable with friendly family dog
CPR-trained or willing to receive training
seeking a long-term position with family

REIMBURSEMENT

$1,500/week
10 paid vacation/personal days (half selected by employer, half by employee)
5 paid sick days and major public holidays paid days off
monthly MetroCard reimbursed
paid 52-weeks/year (i.e. paid when not needed such as during family vacation)
