DUTIES

compassionate, responsible care for 2-year-old boy (plus care for any future newborn in growing family)
bathing, changing, feeding, potty training, maintain sleep/nap schedule)
age-appropriate play & learning activities (books, singing, indoor/outdoor play, taking to sports and swimming classes, educational and developmental activities)
arrange play-dates (network and develop new relationships with other nannies and nearby
families) and take to/from park, activities and classes as child grows
grocery shopping
family laundry as needed
meal/snack preparation for family
light home cleaning when not caregiving (tidying up common areas and child's room,
clean kitchen after meal prep, load/unload dishwasher, organize child's drawers, closets and toy boxes)
dog walking

REQUIREMENTS

experienced in infant & toddler care (strong preference for nannies with experience caring for two kids in home includes potty training)
DYNAMIC, OUTGOING PERSONALITY PREFERRED to help care for active, curious
toddler (must enjoy talking, socializing and creating educational opportunities for toddlers)
develop new relationships with other nannies and parents outside the home (network with
other nannies)
good cooking skills
punctual (arrive/leave on time)
competent English (speaking, reading, writing)
comfortable with small, friendly dog in home
able to travel with families domestic & international a big plus!
willing to get screenings/immunizations as directed by family (fully vaccinated for Covid, plus up-to-date TDaP & MMR boosters)
CPR-trained or willing to receive training
takes direction well & communicates openly with parents
seeking a long-term position with family

REIMBURSEMENT

$25/hour (pay increase when nanny begins to care for two kids in future)
10 paid vacation/personal days (half selected by employer, half by employee)
5 paid sick days and major public holidays paid days off
monthly MetroCard reimbursed
paid 52-weeks/year (i.e. paid when not needed such as during family vacations and
business trips, which will likely exceed standard alotted vacation days)
