live-in HOUSEKEEPER/NANNY

SALARY$1,500/week ($30/hour if live-out)

CHILDREN: baby plus 2 & 4-year-old kids (help stay-at-home mom with kids)

START DATE: July 2024

SCHEDULE

  • Monday: live-in (7:30am - 7:30pm with time for meals & breaks)

  • Tuesday: live-in (7:30am - 7:30pm with time for meals & breaks)

  • Wednesday: live-in (7:30am - 7:30pm with time for meals & breaks)

  • Thursday: live-in (7:30am - 7:30pm with time for meals & breaks)

  • Friday: live-in (7:30am - 7:30pm with time for meals & breaks)

  • Saturday: OFF

  • Sunday: OFF

DRIVING REQUIRED: NO

TRAVEL REQUIRED: NO

PETS: DOG (must love pets but very little dog care required)

DUTIES

  • daily housekeeping needs for family (e.g. dishes, wiping down countertops & tables, tidying rooms, organizing toys, vacuum/mop areas as needed, make beds)

  • family meal preparation help

  • family laundry

  • collaborate with stay-home mother to care for infant, 2 & 4-year-old kids (e.g. play, engage and care for kids as needed when stay-at-home mom goes out or needs assistance when she is home; typical duties may include changing diapers, bathing, bottle prep and feeding, potty training, maintaining sleep/nap schedule etc.)

  • age-appropriate play & learning activities (including "tummy time", reading storybooks, singing & nursery rhymes, play and educational games)

REQUIREMENTS

  • flexible work-style (enjoys a combination of housework, meal prep and nanny care, changing duties when needed)

  • experience caring for infants, toddlers & school-age kids (multiple children of varying ages in same home)

  • competent English speaker

  • takes direction well & communicates openly (work well with stay-home mom)

  • must love dogs (minimal care for small dog required)

  • willing to get screenings/immunizations as directed 

  • CPR-trained or willing to receive training

  • seeking a long-term position with family 

REIMBURSEMENT

  • $1,500/week ($30/hour if live-out)

  • 10 paid vacation/personal days (half selected by employer, half by employee), 5 paid sick days and major public holidays paid days off (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas)

  • public transportation to/from work plus cab from train if used paid or reimbursed by family

  • paid 52-weeks/year (i.e. paid when not needed such as during family vacation)
